CAREERS AT WEBBER ACADEMY

Webber Academy is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational university preparatory school offering programs from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. Located in the Aspen Woods neighborhood of Calgary, our school is home to approximately 1,020 students. The school maintains an exceptional academic record and reputation. Remuneration for teachers is above normal standards. When applicable, applicants must hold (or be eligible for) a valid Alberta Professional Teaching Certificate.

Elementary Teacher

We are currently accepting applications for an Elementary Division One teaching position for the 2026-27 school year, beginning in August 2026. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Alberta Professional Teaching Certificate. We seek an educator who brings a genuine love of learning, a passion for supporting young students, a strong work ethic, and a positive, collaborative approach to helping students reach their potential.

JH/SH French Teacher

We are currently accepting applications for a dedicated French Teacher to instruct both Junior High (grades 7-9) and Senior High (grades 10-12) students for the 2026-27 school year, beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that develop students’ proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French, while fostering a supportive classroom environment. Responsibilities include planning and assessment, supporting student progress, preparing students for senior high requirements, and collaborating with colleagues, parents, and administration. Applicants must demonstrate strong proficiency in French, have a passion for the teaching profession, and possess effective classroom management and communication skills.

Substitute Teachers

We are seeking dependable and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers. Responsibilities include implementing available detailed lesson plans, maintaining a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment, and supporting our commitment to strong character development. An Alberta Teaching Certificate and a criminal record check are required. Qualified candidates must demonstrate effective classroom management skills, professionalism, and reliability.
