Webber Academy is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2021/2022 academic year:

* Senior School Social Studies Teacher

We are currently accepting applications for a Senior High School Social Studies teaching position for the 2021-2022 school year. Applicants should have at least two years of teaching experience. Experience teaching AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and/or AP Comparative Government and Politics would also be useful. Remuneration is above normal standards. Applicant must be eligible for an Alberta teaching certificate. Personal characteristics desired include a love of learning, a love of helping young people, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Reporting to the Head of Senior School, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Administration of student information on the Student Information System (School Cloud) and the performance of required processes and practices as outlined by Alberta Education. This includes student attendance information, exam registrations, grade submission, maintaining course directories and class schedules, preparing and submitting various reports, and responding to inquiries and requests for information. 


The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications and skill sets: 

-Minimum of three years experience in a similar capacity

-Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and other Office Suite products
-
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with an attention to detail
-Ability to follow directions, multi-task and prioritize duties in a fast paced work environment 
-
Ability to work well independently and within a team environment 
-Working knowledge of School Cloud (training will be provided, if necessary) 

       -Prior experience working with in an educational environment would be an asset
