Webber Academy is pleased to offer a friendly and informative admissions process for interested students and parents. Families are encouraged to read through the information provided on this website and attend an Information Evening or School Tour to learn about our school and the programmes offered.

Step One: Apply Online & Submit Supporting Documents

We are accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year and beyond. Applying sooner rather than later is best as admission is competitive.

Please submit your application online. You can save and finish the application later, as needed.

 Be prepared with:

  • Non-refundable application fee of $100. Applications without payment will not be reviewed.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copy of Passport
  • If child was not born in Canada - Submit one of the following: Certificate of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident Card, or Parent's Work Permit
  • Small recent photo
  • Copies of last two years of report cards (where applicable)
  • Copy of educational testing results (i.e. WISC, WIAT, SSAT, IOWA, NWEA, STAAR etc.) (if applicable)
  • Admissions Video: 2 minutes or less (required for JK and SK) (optional for Grade 1-12 applicants)
  • Personal Statement (Grade 9-12 applicants) *this will be downloaded from the checklist once you apply*
Please have your teacher's email address readily available so you can arrange for a Confidential Report to be filled out and sent back to us directly.

Step Two: Admissions Testing

Admissions testing / assessment is used for all students applying to Senior Kindergarten - Grade 12. Junior Kindergarten students will attend an interview/observation in place of admissions testing.

Please click on the following link ‘Admission Testing’ for more detailed testing information and testing dates.

Due to the advanced nature of our programme, we require proficiency in English and Math. We do not offer ESL or EAL support.

Step Three: Classroom Visits

Local candidates who score within the expected admission guidelines will then be invited to attend a classroom visit at Webber Academy.

Distance / international applicants who are unable to attend a classroom visit will be expected to arrange for our Confidential School Report to be completed by their current teacher and/or principal as well as attend an online interview.

Step Four: Acceptance

Once the above steps are complete, the Admissions team will review the application. Admissions decisions are made with the best interests of the student in mind and are based on a combination of the application, report card marks, entrance test scores, interviews, and teacher recommendations. It is our policy to advise prospective families of acceptance or non-acceptance as quickly as possible.

Qualified applicants for whom there are no positions available will be placed on the waiting list.
