Upcoming Band Programme Dates,

The following is a list of important dates for all band students.
Please mark these dates on your calendar at home, because attendance at these
events is mandatory and factored into the student’s grade. Please keep in
mind that some of these dates are tentative and will be confirmed closer to the
time. Information will be sent home as dates are confirmed and additional
performances are set.
Wednesday, September 7: Gr. 7
instrument selection meeting (during options class)
Thursday, September
8: St. John’s
Instrument Rental Session, 6:00-6:30 P.M. (only for parents of new band
students who need to rent flutes, oboe, clarinets, trumpets, alto saxes, tenor
saxes, trombones and percussion kits)
Friday, September
9: Grade
7 beginner band workshop, 3:30-5:00 P.M.
Thursday, October
20: Autumn
Band Concert, 7:00 P.M.
Thursday, December
8: Winter
Band Concert, 7:00 P.M.
Tuesday, January
10: Parent
meetings for grades 7, 8 and 9 students going to camp Caroline, 3:45 P.M. or
7:00 P.M.
February 1-3: Camp
Caroline Band Retreat (grades 7-9 concert bands)

Alberta International Band Festival* (grades eight to twelve concert bands)
